Four Proposals for Changing Bulletin 72 (1 to 4) 2011, Michael Riedel

Michael Riedel, born in 1972, lives and works in Frankfurt

This edition of Michael Riedel recalls another piece from the Eki.art collection: Map of itself, produced by the Art & Language group in 1967. The German artist, master of the reinterpretation and updating of pre-existing artistic systems, looks here at the legendary 72 edition of the Art & Project Bulletin produced in 1973 by one of the pioneers of conceptual art: Lawrence Weiner. His proposal - or rather four proposals - created in the same essence of the history of the art and symbolically embodied by ink smudges of that bulletin, become four distinct and autonomous systems, a sort of caches of conceptual art.
