Paul Souviron, born in 1979, lives and works in Strasbourg
Paul Souviron’s art deals with the different degrees of fiction that one projects when adapting to the world. He recalls the entropy and an anthropogenic nature through sets, decorums, sculptures and performances. This is a vision fueled by the past and its natural decay appended to the permanent evolution of human ‘necessities’ and leisure activities. Holding the sea (screener-connexe) is as ever for Paul Souviron the sum of simple gestures: the sea is built as a common display on a TV wall mount and becomes a manufactured image whose depth is annihilated by the cult of platitude.
